Our friend Corinne is off to vet school in Perth, via the Nullarbor Plain, so we made her a scarf to keep her warm while she is off becoming James Herriot....

A special present for a very special person

It has been 10 years since my cousin Robert took his vows as a priest. He is a wonderful and inspiring person, so I knitted him a special scarf to commemorate his achievement.

Knitting Coven

Every month I go to a knitting group led by our very fine teacher, Rian Anderson and hosted by a wonderful group of women. The group is very excited because they have just purchased the best knitting shop in Brisbane, and it looks like it will only get better. The square is one I knitted- this series of squares serves as a way for us to practice new stitches. Eventually all of our squares will be knitted together to make a large blanket, one of several the group will donate to a homeless shelter.

Cool Scarf for Kenneth

I knitted a cool scarf for my cousin Kenneth for Christmas. He likes it too (thank goodness!). This was my first real attempt to knit something in a cable knit pattern. It is great to knit for the opposite hemisphere... esp. when it is 90 degrees here!

Baby Blanket Finished!

Today I finally sent this baby blanket to my friend Debbie in California. I made it for her son Carter, and the pattern is alternating hearts and the letter "C".
