Our last day in the States! Monique and I decided to have a bit of a relaxing time in a downtown spa; Tim hung out with his high school friend Rick. Was good to have the kitties to play with (Biner and Beta) as we were missing our kitties quite desperately by then...
Ken and Monique picked us up from Tim's parents house, and we spent a swell day birdwatching in a little wildlife refuge south of Seattle. The bittern looks were as good as anyone could hope for! Dinner was amazing Thai in Seattle...
Today was such a beautiful day, filled with love and joy. The morning church service was lovely, followed by a wonderful lunch with family and friends. The special M&M's that Arlene ordered were a favorite! The celebrations continued back at the Kastelle house, where some excellent visiting time was had by all.
Today final preparations for Rod and Arlene's anniversary celebrations were in full swing. This hard work demanded LOTS of Rod's excellent pumpkin pie! Later we all went for a lovely Chinese meal - great food and great to catch up with folks!
Always great to see Rod & Arlene, and always a pleasure to see their great backyard birds, including (from top): Anna's Hummingbird with tongue out!); Flicker; Squirrel; Evening Grosbeak.
