Silhouettes!
Today we went up to Sacre Coeur to have our portraits painted, but instead ended up getting two small silhouettes made - very French! The we walked around Monmartre and also saw the Opera House. Ended up with a short shopping stop at Galleries Lafayette. (Note small dog in car window in last photo above!)

Arrival in Paris
Today we landed in Paris and what excitement! We went up to the Palais de Chaillot to see the Eiffel Tower - magnifique! Tim and I climbed to the top which was amazing. Then we walked past the Bridge of Alexander III back to the hotel. Had French Onion soup and crepes for lunch - a cliche yet so good!

Cambridge
Today Tim has had meetings with his collaborators from the Cambridge business school (housed in a very funky building); I had a lovely lunch in the heart of the old part of town (although even the old part of town has some modern touches, as below...).

The best day in Singapore
Today our friend Desley Hegney, who kindly hosted us while we were in Singapore, showed us a grand tour of the town. First we strolled through the botanical gardens. Then we had lunch on Arab Street and then purchased a beautiful Persian run and a silk Persian wall hanging. Next we headed downtown for some shopping and high tea at the famous Raffles Hotel, home of the original Singapore Sling. We decided to walk off that rather large indulgence of tea, crumpets and a few Slings by taking in a huge Tech Expo at the Convention Centre. (I bought a cool pink roll-up keyboard for my Mac.) We ended the day at dinner in Little India - an amazing and incredibly fun day.
