It was great that Tim's surgery worked out so well as I had to be on a flight to New Zealand at 8am the next day, in order to get there in time to give a keynote address on the Thursday! So I left the cats in charge and headed off. Tim and I skyped every day and it was great for him to rest at home (he is in very little pain, mainly feeling tired).
My keynote went well and the old age psychology (
NZPOPS) conference (which was held in
New Plymouth on the North Island) was fantastic! The food both in the hotel and in the Italian restaurant next door (both overlooking the sea) was great (the fish pictured is
gurnard).
