Yesterday Tim and I went to the Gardening Show in Brisbane at the convention centre - today I thought I'd post photos of some of our favorite native flowering plants, plus a native garden photo - this is what we'd eventually like our garden to look like!

Denali at Play
On a lazy Sunday morning Denali kept us entertained.... Later today we went to the garden show at the Brisbane convention centre - very cool landscape displays. We got lots of ideas for our own house.

Yet Another Wig!
Today we went shopping and I got a fab new dress! Decided to try it with another wig! This one is borrowed from my friend Debbie, who has successfully completed chemotherapy for breast cancer recently. It is interesting, having such a radical choice of hairstyles for the evening! We celebrated the successful shopping with dinner at a Japanese restaurant.
Frog!
On our way out the door to dinner we saw this cool green tree from sitting on our roof (it was raining at the time...)

The Wig at Last!
Here at last are the photos of the actual wig I bought. It is called "Endearing" and the color is "vanilla swirl." The best thing is that it matches Tim's beard, which apparently is also the color of "vanilla swirl" -- who knew?

Vote for Nancy's New Wig!
Well, my hair has started to fall out, and will probably all fall out within the next two weeks, so we are off to look at wigs today. Here is a selection of styles - vote now for your favorite!

Relaxing at Home
Today seemed like a good day to just relax with the cats. Had excellent snack of cream cheese on cinnamon graham crackers - thanks Mom! :)

Chemotherapy Cancelled Today
The doc had to cancel my chemotherapy today because my white blood cell count was zero. This is a natural consequence of chemotherapy, but came a bit later for me, so instead they gave me a shot to stimulate the bone marrow to make lots of white blood cells. The count should go up over the weekend, so the chemo is rescheduled for Monday afternoon.
So today I visited folks in the psychology department, and it was FANTASTIC to see people!
:)
So now I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend with those feline masters of relaxation (Zamboni, pictured above, loves snoozing by the window....)

Easter Lamb Cakes
Baked a series of three lamb cakes this Easter weekend. Used white chocolate and raspberry swirl cake mix for that realistic effect of a severed spinal cord when you cut into the cake - guests thought it was funny and yummy! (Except my friend Annette, pictured above, who thought I could be certified nuts...and she could do it, being a psychologist!) :)

Very Good News!
Today I had some great news - I have been promoted to Associate Professor! But Zamboni remains unimpressed.... :)

More puttering around the house
This weekend was great, just puttering around the house. I slept most of Saturday, but Denali and I helped Tim hang up more art on Sunday...
