Arriving in Palmerston North
This is my friend Chris Stephens, a psychology lecturer from Massey. I stayed at her lovely house on Saturday night when I first arrived in Palmerston North from Auckland. Her areas of interest are women's health and older adults - she is planning a big longitudinal study in NZ and is coming over to visit me next year in Brisbane.
Tim Breaks Big Toe on Right Foot!
Tim broke his big toe on his right foot today while walking down our stairs at home! I felt terrible, being stuck in NZ with the sheep and cows and unable to help! He went to the emergency room, where they wrapped it up - no cast.... Notice how the toe is at a significant angle to what it should be....

Received Awards at the Conference
At the conference I was presented with a teaching award from the Australian Psychological Society. I also was made a Fellow of the APS (click here to read about FELLOWS). Both of these awards were very meaningful and I was really happy to receive them.

Our 13th Wedding Anniversary
Today was our 13th wedding anniversary! Traditional 13th wedding anniversary gifts have a theme of Lace. A contemporary or modern 13th anniversary gift has a theme of Furs and Textiles. The flower associated with the 13th wedding anniversary is the Hollyhoch. The Gemstone list shows Citrine, Malachite and Moonstone are the gems associated with this wedding anniversary. We had pizza... very romantic!
